Mobile Telephone Numbers
We are currently updating patient records with new mobile phone numbers and would be grateful if patients could contact the surgery with any new mobile number.
The Practise has changed its opening hours !
Please note that from the 1st August this year we have introduced closing at lunchtime for 1 hour
This this change will bring us into line with other GP Surgeries and will allow us valuable time to keep up the demands from the Department of Health.
We will make a telephone number available for patients who have a medical emergency.
Benzodiazepine Reduction Programme
Ormeau Health Centre will be actively supporting an initiative by GPs across Belfast to reduce long term prescribing of Benzodiazepine drugs. This will commence on the 1st July 2011. You can obtain an advice leaflet from reception.
We have now installed an automated arrival system located on the right-hand wall as you enter the reception area.By using this you will be able to inform the Medical Staff of your arrival within the need to wait in a queue at the reception desk.
Out of Hours
Medical emergencies out of normal hours are dealt with by SEBDOC – 028 9079 6220www.sebdoc.org.uk/
There are occasions when the elderly or housebound may need a home visit. Please try to phone the surgery before 10:30am. The receptionist will ask a few questions so that the doctors can judge the urgency of the call. A doctor will decide if a home visit is necessary.
If you wish to speak to a doctor on the telephone, they will be available from 12 noon until 12.30 each weekday.
Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.
The Antenatal Clinic will be by Appointment only on Thursday mornings from the May 2009. Please contact reception to arrange your appointment.
Baby Clinic News
As from the May 2009, we are pleased to announce a change to our Baby Clinic, which we hope will provide a much better service. Due to the large numbers of patients attending, we have decided to make this an Assessment and Vaccination Clinic, by appointment only. You will still be able to see the Health Visitor for weighing and advice by arranging an appointment.
If your baby is sick please arrange an ordinary appointment with a GP, as sick babies can no longer be seen during the Baby Clinic.
